What is Soft Rock Phosphate?

Soft Rock Phosphate is extracted in Florida and is derived from the fossilized remains of marine organisms that were formed millions of years ago.

Soft Rock Phosphate functions as a slow-release fertilizer, containing 20% phosphates. However, it provides only 3% phosphorus that is immediately available to plants. The remaining phosphorus will be gradually released over a span of up to five years, depending on soil conditions, thus ensuring your plants receive a continuous supply of this essential macronutrient.

Soft Rock Phosphate contributes to the long-term buildup of phosphorus in the soil; it also serves as a significant source of silicon and contains a respectable amount of boron, along with approximately 60 other trace minerals. This soil amendment is durable in nature, remaining present within the soil, and helps retain calcium in the root zone of plants.
