What is Endomycorrhiza?
An ectomycorrhiza is a form of symbiotic relationship that occurs between a fungal symbiont, or mycobiont, and the roots of various plant species.
Endomycorrhizae perform several important functions, with the primary role being nutrient acquisition. They facilitate the exchange of nutrients between the host plant and the soil, significantly aiding in the uptake of water, phosphorus, mineral or organic nitrogen, and amino acids.
Endomycorrhiza refers to the close relationship established between a plant and root fungi, wherein the hyphae or thread-like structures of the fungus penetrate the cells of the root rather than merely colonizing its surface. We have identified the most concentrated product available, which contains 8,000 spores per gram.
The optimal method for colonizing the roots is to apply the spores in powder form to the seeds at the time of planting. Alternatively, the powder can be directly applied to the plant roots during transplantation.
Benefits of Endomycorrhiza
Endomycorrhizae have several beneficial functions, primarily aiding in nutrient acquisition. They enable the exchange of nutrients between the host plant and the soil and enhance the uptake of water, phosphorus, mineral or organic nitrogen, and amino acids.
In return for the plant providing mycorrhizae with carbon, these fungi supply the plant with essential nutrients.
Mycorrhizal fungi can assist in the following ways:
Nourishing crops with water and nutrients.
Building soil structure.
Protecting the plant from drought and other environmental stresses.
How to use Endomycorrhiza
When transplanting a smaller plant into a larger container or directly into the ground, it is advisable to dust the roots with Endomycorrhiza and add it to the hole where the plant will be positioned.
